Andrea Bowen (born Andrea Bowen) is an American actress. Her career began in Broadway musicals, including Les Miserables as well as The Sound of Music. She was first cast as the character of Julie Mayer in the ABC comedy drama series Desperate Housewives. This role was played regularly until in 2008. Julie's parents were Susan Delfino (mother) and Karl Mayer. Julie was Susan's favorite daughter as she grew older. Julie was often considered her companion when it came to cooking as well as cleaning for Susan. Julie even provided dating advice for Susan. Andrea Bowen's character Amy appeared in The only thing I'd like for Christmas is You, an episode of Station 19 episode from season five. Andrea Majanik Bowen and Melanie Somjen Frazer were married in St. Stephen and the Incarnation Episcopal Church, Washington on the weekend. The Rev. Frank Dunn, an Episcopal priest, performed the ceremony. Bowen suffers from bradycardia which is a heart condition in which the heartbeat is less than the normal. Because of this, she's had a heart pacemaker installed since the beginning of her adulthood. Bowen got married to Scott Phillips on September 9 in 2004. Scott Phillips is a real estate developer and software investor. Following the time that Roy (Orson Bean) was reminded by Tom how important it is to say things to those you love when you still have the opportunity to do so, Tom told Lynette that although she'd left and had fallen in love with someone else, she'd always be his love in all of his life.
