Andrea Bowen (born Andrea Bowen) is an American actress. Her career began in Broadway musicals, including Les Miserables as well as The Sound of Music. She was first cast as the character of Julie Mayer in the ABC comedy drama series Desperate Housewives. This role was played regularly until in 2008. Julie's parents were Susan Delfino (mother) and Karl Mayer. Julie was Susan's favorite daughter as she grew older.
